In 2024, the arena received A Greener Future (AGF) certification, highlighting its commitment to setting and achieving sustainability goals.

As the official home of English rugby, Allianz Stadium thinks big. The organisation has kicked off its road to net zero by 2050 and has already significantly reduced energy use.

The venue has been certified with a Silver Award by Green Meetings. The stadium continues to implement new controls to reduce its impact on the environment, including the ISO 20121 for sustainable event management and the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme.

The venue has also been awarded an ISO 50001 certification, recognising the stadium’s excellence in energy management and reinforcing its position as a leader in sustainable sports venue operations. The ISO standard provides a globally recognised framework for improving energy performance, reducing environmental impact and enhancing operational efficiency.

In addition to its Green Tourism Gold accreditation, this hotel, next to the Excel convention centre, has been awarded a Green Key for its work on sustainability practices. The hotel was assessed against strict standards including staff engagement, guest relations, and sustainable management of energy, food, drinks, waste, water and cleaning products. By making greener choices the hotel can reduce its environmental impact, reduce the consumption of water and energy and also improve the guest experience. Green Key is backed by the World Tourism Organisation.

Andaz London Liverpool Street, part of Hyatt Hotels, is dedicated to sustainability with a strong commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

The hotel's sustainability initiatives focus on four key areas: environmental stewardship, responsible sourcing, community engagement, and employee wellbeing, and it has implemented energy-saving measures such as LED lighting and efficient heating and cooling systems. The hotel prioritises responsible sourcing by partnering with local suppliers and using sustainable materials.

Andaz London Liverpool Street also emphasises employee wellbeing through training programmes and the promotion of a healthy work environment. It strives to minimise its environmental impact, support the community, and create a positive workplace culture.

This Scottish owned hotel chain has two hotels in London; Apex City of London and Apex Temple Court. Its Carbon Action Plan, aimed at reaching net zero, has committed £1m to reducing carbon emissions with the plan focusing on 10 pillars including responsible sourcing, waste management, energy and biodiversity with Apex Grove, a tree plantation in the Scottish Highlands.

A partnership with Belu means the hotels now bottle their own water across all operations and further monetary collaboration helps Belu to support water projects around the world, bringing clean water; good toilets and better hygiene to everyone everywhere.

Paperless check-in and a hotel app for guests helps with efficiency and the hotels have been awarded the Green Tourism Silver accreditation. The group also claimed the Sustainable Business Accolade at the recent Springboard Awards.

Arsenal Stadium, formerly known as Emirates Stadium, is dedicated to improving its sustainable performance and preventing pollution. To achieve this, the stadium has established a comprehensive Environmental Management System designed to monitor, evaluate and track its environmental impact across all procedures, operations and policies.

Arsenal strives to enhance resource efficiency across critical areas of its daily operations and matchday activities and has set clear targets by collecting actionable data and implementing effective measures. The stadium is also fully committed to complying with all relevant environmental legislation and any additional standards to which it subscribes, ensuring a sustainable and responsible approach to its operations.   

art'otel uses 100% renewable electricity across all its hotels through Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs) in the UK and Guarantees of Origin (GoOs) in the rest of Europe.

art’otel London Hoxton and art’otel London Battersea have both achieved BREEAM Excellent certification. Meetings held at art’otel are all 100% carbon neutral.

Axiom Hospitality has been working hard to reduce its carbon, energy, water and waste footprint, partnering with Mission: Net Zero to attain Green Tourism accreditations.

So far, the group has achieved three Gold Green Tourism awards for the Residence Inn by Marriott London Bridge, Middle Eight and The Guardsman, and nine Silver Green Tourism certifications for its nine Radisson Blu hotels in London.

The Barbican is an urban oasis with a conservatory home to more than 1,500 species of plants and trees. 

The venue plans to reduce carbon emissions to net zero by 2027 from its own operations. It’s also taking bold action such as withdrawing all single-use plastics; implementing a zero-waste-to-landfill policy, where waste is instead reused, recycled and composted; and using 100% renewable electricity. 

On food and beverage offerings, its coffee is already 100% carbon neutral, all food waste is composted and water fountains have been installed on-site. Its catering partner, Searcys, also has an extensive sustainability pledge.  

As part of the Barbican Renewal programme, the venue is ensuring every part of the iconic centre is restored, revitalised and relevant for future generations.

BMA House has a platinum ECOsmart accreditation by Greengage, which is based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and criteria from ISO 14001.

Its outstanding approach to environmental sustainability across all aspects of business makes it one of the first venues in the world to have achieved this award.

From plastic- and paper-free events to locally sourced produce and healthy menus, BMA House has also reduced its delegate carbon footprint by 69% and water consumption by 5.4m litres per year. A Green Tourism Gold Award completes the set for this Grade II-listed building.

The British Library holds more than 170 million items and is one of the world's largest libraries. Its goal is to share the library collection while contributing to solutions for the environmental challenges. This includes promoting climate research, supporting sustainable businesses, hosting events and exhibitions and increasing awareness of climate science.

The library features solar thermal roof tubes to capture sunlight to heat water, helping reduce gas usage and are signatories to the Green Libraries Manifesto.

The National Library is a founding partner of the Green Libraries Partnership, and in 2022, its aim was to raise £8m of Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme funding for heat pumps and solar thermals. Since then, sustainability has been incorporated into its catering and cleaning contracts. It recruited its first Sustainability Manager and created its first sustainability strategy.

The library aims to achieve an oil-free estate, with a target of reducing carbon emissions by 78% by 2035.

Central Hall Westminster received the ECOsmart Platinum Award following its dedication to sustainable practices and implementation of initiatives to reduce its environmental impact.

The use of LED lighting throughout the building significantly reduces energy consumption, while the recycling of paper, glass, plastic, and food waste has optimised its waste management. It has reduced water usage after installing efficient fixtures and regularly monitoring consumption. Staff and visitors are encouraged to use public transportation or make use of its secure bike storage facilities.

Central Hall Westminster collaborates with suppliers to ensure sustainable sourcing of products, and all the above practices have resulted in significant achievements, including the reduction of carbon emissions.

Church House Westminster received a Greengage ECOsmart platinum venue award in 2022, an outstanding achievement for this Grade II-listed building.

It means that the venue has an excellent approach to environmental standards in all aspects of its business and that sustainability is front and centre of its strategy. Initiatives include donating all leftover food to the local community and adopting a zero-waste-to-landfill approach.

The events team takes organisers through a 12-step action plan to keep the carbon footprint of events to a minimum.

The Clermont Hotel Group received a Platinum Sustainability Initiative of the Year award from Greengage Solutions. The hotels in the group have been awarded Gold and Silver ECOsmart accreditations.

Situated opposite Hyde Park, Como Metropolitan London earned a Bronze Award for Environmental Effort from the Green Tourism Business Scheme and a Silver certification from EarthCheck in February 2025.

To minimise its impact on the environment, the hotel prioritises working with small local farmers to obtain seasonal ingredients.

In 2024, it introduced a new waste management and recycling system, which includes leftover cooking oil being collected and turned into biofuel. The Halkin also collaborates with The Felix Project.

The company has achieved the Swisstainable Level 1 classification, showcasing its ongoing efforts in sustainable business development. Congrex Switzerland is also part of Healthy Venues, aiding in optimal and health-conscious venue selection for an enhanced event experience. The company helps clients implement Corporate Social Responsibility policies within their supply chains and mitigate the environmental impacts of their congresses, as well as offset CO2 emissions from their employees’ business flights.

The initiatives range from recycling to staff engagement. For example, all coffee grounds within venues are recycled and made into biofuel. Corinthia London is contributing to a greener and more sustainable hospitality industry, and has a comprehensive sustainability policy in place that showcases its dedication to operating in an environmentally conscious and socially responsible manner.

Its policy reflects its commitment to minimising environmental impact and promoting responsible practices; prioritising energy efficiency by implementing measures such as LED lighting, efficient HVAC systems and smart controls. Waste management is a key focus, with efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle waste materials. The hotel has received multiple sustainability awards after being assessed on a range of criteria including equality diversity, experiences, food and drink, energy, water, biodiversity, waste and carbon, including a Gold Green Tourism accreditation, a Gold Green Meetings certification, a Green Key award and a platinum ECOsmart certification.

The carbon footprint from travelling on Eurostar is 95% less than flying, and the company has set the ambitious target of purchasing enough 100% renewable energy to power its trains by 2030.

Catering on the trains also includes compostable plant based coffee cups; water and wine served in aluminium cans and 50p off the cost for customers with a reusable cup. Any unsold food is donated to Olio to redistribute it, and food waste is processed at an anaerobic digestion facility to be used as organic fertiliser on local farmland.

Eurostar has been awarded a three star rating by the Sustainable Restaurant Association and its UK operations have been certified to ISO 14001 and ISO 5001, which demonstrate commitment to continually reducing environmental impact and energy use. 

It has also been awarded a gold medal by EcoVadis, an international company that helps manage, measure and improve sustainability performances across Eurostar's entire value chain.

Excel London is the first UK venue to be awarded a PAS 2060 certification, the only internationally recognised standard for carbon neutrality. It's a significant step on the venue's journey to net zero, demonstrating leadership in sustainable events.

The venue uses 100% renewable electricity and offsets any remaining emissions, for example for waste and employee commuting. Water fountains throughout the venue save 200,000 plastic bottles each year, and the UK's largest wormery creates compost from food waste, which is then used to feed landscaping on the campus. The venue's zero-waste-to-landfill policy has been in place for more than 10 years and its net zero transition target has been brought forward by five years to 2045 instead of 2050.

Excel is proud to be accredited as a London Living Wage Employer and holds key sustainability/environmental certifications including ISO 14001, ISO 20121 and Planet Mark Business certifications.

The Fairmont Windsor Park Hotel has lots of sustainable practices in place, including sourcing food from royal farms and local artisan suppliers in Windsor. Chefs on site grow herbs and plants in their kitchen garden and beehives produce honey to use in the hotel.

Responsible procurement continues in the spa and wellness products, including slippers made from the outer shells of coconut. Guests will also find recycling bins in their rooms.

The Hotel is targeting a BREEAM Very Good rating for infrastructure and building management. This includes 9pm water restrictions fitted to showerheads and aircon being turned off when windows are opened.

Bats were also protected and rehomed during the preconstruction process. 

First Travel Solutions is leading the way in sustainable ground transportation. It holds ISO accreditations for Health and Safety Management, Environmental Management and Quality.

The team is able to source electric buses for some client events, where regular, short-distance trips are needed and passengers do not have large volumes of luggage. Event shuttle services and park and ride schemes are ideal for these vehicles. Euro 6 classification engines, which are less polluting, are widely sourced and the team ensures that any vehicle used complies with any city's clean air regulations.

Coffee supplier Missing purchases direct from the farmer, meaning farmers can plant just one crop per year as opposed to multiple, which is kinder to the planet.

Event Planners have access to specialist sustainability consultants to help measure the end-to-end carbon impact of each function, make reductions and work towards net zero.

Certified carbon neutral, Golden Tours successfully balances the carbon dioxide it emits into the atmosphere with the amount absorbed.

Situated in east London at Royal Victoria Dock, the floating Good Hotel is built on sustainability and giving back, with excess profits invested into social causes. 

The ECOsmart Gold accredited hotel was once a derelict platform and has been repurposed to create a unique hotel experience. All hotel rooms are designed utilising natural and repurposed materials. The en-suite bathrooms feature rain showers and locally made toiletries. All the food served in the hotel is sourced locally and sustainably. The charitable brand Belu provides recycled-glass water bottles, sourced from UK farms and London markets. 

The Good Hotel operates the Good Global Foundation, which supports global social causes, including providing children with access to education. So far, they have helped more than 550 children go to school. 

It also runs the Good Training Program, a bespoke hospitality training course in London and have trained more than 60 local residents per year, helping them move out of unemployment. The recruitment success rate exceeds 70%. 

Guildhall London, one of the oldest event venues in the Square Mile, has achieved Gold for its sustainable and responsible business practices. After receiving a Silver Award in 2022, the venue implemented recommendations from Green Meetings and other City Corporation initiatives, which led to its promotion to Gold.

Green Tourism praises Guildhall’s excellent knowledge of sustainability and its evident passion for sustainable operations. They highlight Guildhall's ability to operate sustainably in an older building and its impressive 98% score in equality, diversity and inclusivity, noting the strong commitment to creating an accessible and welcoming environment for all.

The award winning Hilton London Heathrow Airport is the closest hotel to Terminal 4 at Heathrow Airport.

"Plan Bee" is one of a number of forward-thinking initiatives that has been adopted in an aim to reduce the hotel's waste, water and energy consumption.

30,000 bees produce honey which is gifted to guests and clients, with a further 50,000 bees joining this year, enabling the hotel to serve its own honey at breakfast. 

The chef has his own garden in the hotel growing herbs, fruit and vegetables which are served across its three OXBO dining experiences. Used coffee granules are also used to fertilise the soil.

As part of its Meet with Purpose offering, the hotel offers guests the opportunity to get involved in driving sustainability initiatives on the property such as planting trees in the hotel's orchard.

Following a multimillion-pound renovation, the Hilton London Metropole operates a carbon-neutral programme which offsets emissions from events: a powerful tool for a hotel with 1,100 bedrooms and 35 meeting rooms. The venue's been awarded with an ISO 9001 for quality management, an ISO 14001 for environmental management, an ISO 50001 for energy management and a 100% green electric and EPC B rating for its recent refurbishment work.

Power is 100% sourced from UK offshore wind farms, and staff uniforms are made from plastic bottles rescued from the ocean. The executive chef sources 90% of the ingredients from within 100 miles of the hotel. A partnership with London Fields, an eco-conscious microbrewery, allows it to source locally manufactured beer.

Close to the world-famous Tower Bridge, the Hilton London Tower Bridge hotel is implementing a variety of sustainability initiatives, including a carbon-neutral meetings programme.

A meeting impact calculator creates a customised forecast detailing an event’s estimated energy use, water consumption and waste generation and makes recommendations on ways to reduce them.

Guests can get 1,000 Hilton Honors points if they decline to have their room cleaned during their stay and  can also check in and out using their phone, avoiding the use of plastic keys.

In 2025, Hilton London Bankside became the second hotel in the UK to receive certification from the independent Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) for its commitment to social and environmental responsibility in the travel and tourism sector. This recognition highlights its efforts in sustainable practices and support for the local community.

The hotel is recognised for its initiatives, including partnerships with The Manna Society to support the homeless, and fundraising efforts for Hospitality Action, a charity dedicated to assisting hospitality workers. The hotel also collaborates with Southwark College to provide work experience for neurodiverse students and participates in local volunteer efforts.

Its Vegan Suite, approved by the Vegan Society and the “Banana Project,” uses surplus bananas to make cakes for the homeless. Additionally, the hotel has a pilot scheme in place using “cardboard lighting" in the sales office to reduce energy consumption.

The Tower of London, Kensington Palace, Hampton Court Palace and Kew Palace are all part of London’s rich heritage. Much of their work focuses on biodiversity with projects such as the Superbloom at the Tower of London, where the moat has been permanently transformed into an urban environment for wildlife.

Kensington Palace has a wild flower meadow, and the deer on Home Park at Hampton Court Palace are now protected as part of a conservation plan.

There is also a focus on energy efficiency, responsible water consumption, waste management and responsible procurement. For example, their caterer has signed up to a Waste Resource Action Programme (WRAP), which involves reporting on and segregating waste to return it to nature in the form of biofertilizer. 

This must-see viewing platform in the City of London becomes an events destination in the evenings run by Searcys, a renowned London catering firm. Searcys was established in 1847 and has sustainability, both environmental and social, at its core. 24 pledges include responsible sourcing from local suppliers across all meat, fruit and vegetables and by the end of 2025 it expects 25% of all menus to be plant based. The chefs work on menu design to achieve minimum waste and there is also a Searcys own label English sparkling wine from a local vineyard. From a socially responsible aspect the company supports Beyond Food, which helps those at risk of homelessness to get jobs in the hospitality industry.

This five-star hotel on Regent Street is the first in the UK to be certified by Green Globe, which measures 44 criteria based on the Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria. It also has a first-class BREEAM rating for sustainable building design, and its Sustainable Management Plan focuses on energy efficiency; water conservation; waste management; sustainable sourcing; community; people and impact. When you book via the hotel’s website, the carbon emissions from your stay are automatically offset at no charge and this enables the hotel to invest in renewable energy resources globally.  The hotel also supports two children’s charities: Make-A-Wish foundation, which helps children with critical illnesses and the Honeypot Children’s Charity for young carers.

Hyatt Place London City East is ISO 14001, BREEAM Excellent and EarthCheck Bronze accredited, showcasing a commitment to environmental performance and sustainable building practices. It is the first hotel globally to receive the Gold Certificate from Active Score for the wellbeing services available to guests and hotel staff.

Operations are powered by 100% green energy, combined with other technologies like motion-sensor LED lighting, combined heat and power systems and energy-efficient A-label lifts. The hotel is also reducing single-use plastics, uses recycled paper and toilet products and ensures that all waste is diverted from landfills. 

All rooms have been accredited with an AirScore™ Gold Certification, ensuring premium indoor air quality for guests, and Hyatt EcoTrack is used to track sustainability metrics.

Hyatt Place London City East was the first Hyatt hotel to receive the SHe Travel Club Platinum status, an acknowledgement for empowering safe travel for women. The hotel also received the Sustainability Award at the LCCI SME London Business Awards and the UK Weddings & Honeymoons Awards 2025, and participates in the Too Good To Go programme donating food waste to locals.

Located in the heart of Marylebone, Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill demonstrates its commitment to environmental stewardship through the Hyatt EcoTrack program and its sustainable practices.

The hotel actively monitors and tracks its environmental performance, which measures and analyses energy, water and waste consumption. It has implemented various sustainable practices, including energy-efficient lighting, water-saving fixtures and waste reduction and recycling programmes. Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill prioritises responsible sourcing, supporting local and sustainable suppliers, and also engages guests and employees in sustainable practices and community initiatives.

Ibis Blackfriars is Green Key certified, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to measuring and reducing its carbon footprint, food waste, energy and water consumption, as well as providing local or organic food and drink.

The hotel also eliminated single-use plastics onsite, trains its staff on social and environmental issues and protects the surrounding biodiversity.

Ibis Blackfriars offers a "Skip the Clean" option, where guests can opt out of daily room cleaning to help save up to 60 litres of water per day and reduce energy consumption. Guests who opt in can receive reward points to encourage positive change. These points can be converted into donations to various environmental and social projects.

Mayfair Townhouse; 11 Cadogan Gardens in Chelsea and Cliveden House near Heathrow Airport are all part of Iconic Luxury Hotels.

All three properties understand the importance of reducing waste; improving energy efficiency and conserving and recycling materials where possible. The group also sources produce locally and works with environmental agencies to monitor the extensive gardens and estate of Cliveden House, whilst caring for wildlife habitats and areas of special interest.

An important initiative is to encourage clients who use the event spaces to participate in giving back schemes to the local community, including clean-up campaigns or working on projects for local schools.

In 2022, IET Venues received the silver Investors in the Environment Accreditation for advanced sustainable actions taken to reduce its environmental impact.

The Sainsbury Wing reopened to the public in 2025, after extensive renovation work that focused strongly on sustainable practices, targeting a BREEAM rating of excellence, which it is now on track to achieve. The project had a circular economy drive, with recovered materials from the build suitable for reuse hosted and rehomed on Globechain, which connects reusable materials with organisations in need, often charities.

A world-famous visitor attraction and research centre with 400 scientists working to find solutions to the planetary emergency, the Natural History Museum aims for people and planet to thrive together.

The museum has a continuous plan, working within the ISO 14001 environmental management framework, to improve energy efficiency and food, waste and water management. None of the museum’s operational waste goes to landfill and it has a target to achieve net zero by 2035.

Additionally, the transformation of its gardens, which reopened to the public in 2024, was delivered as a diesel-free, zero-waste site, with rainwater collected from buildings reused in the landscaping.

Benugo, the onsite caterer, is one of the founding members of the Zero Carbon Forum, working across the hospitality sector to create a path to net zero emissions, and has achieved ISO 14001 and ISO 5001 for both environmental and energy management processes.

nHow London hotel has a Green Key accreditation after demonstrating a number of environmental requirements, as well as a persistent commitment to using innovation to develop eco-efficient solutions. The company has also implemented responsible carbon footprint projects that improved energy efficiency worth €1.58m.

Novotel, the globally recognised hotel brand under the Accor group, has rolled out two new sustainable food policies, which will compel its 600 locations to significantly increase plant-based menu choices while phasing out seafood species at risk of extinction.

In its ‘Plant-Forward ambition’, Novotel is aiming for all of its hotels to offer menus comprising at least 25% plant-based options by 2026. In collaboration with WWF France and its fisheries experts, the Accor-owned business has also committed to removing 350 endangered seafood species from its menus by 2027. 

Another strategic objective for the Accor group is to have all its hotels Green Key certified by 2026. Novotel London Canary Wharf and its award-winning restaurant Bokan are a proud example, after recently earning their Green Key accreditation for the second year in a row.

It has eliminated plastic, uses wooden key cards for guestrooms and its extensive event spaces have sensor-activated lighting. The escalators have integrated power savers and there are electric car charging points in the car park.

The chef produces seasonal menus by sourcing food locally and the hotel partners with “Too Good to Go,” the world’s largest marketplace for surplus food, picking up food from restaurants, hotels and cafes to give to people in need.

The hotel also provides a net zero carbon calculator for event planners to calculate the carbon footprint of any event and to offset any remaining emissions through certified climate projects.

As a forward-thinking hotel, NYX Hotel London Holborn has taken measures to ensure it operates sustainably. From energy-efficient lighting to sourcing local and organic ingredients for its restaurant, the hotel has taken significant steps to reduce its environmental impact.

The venue's Grand Plan consists not only of green initiatives, but also focuses on making a positive impact on the local area through its Olympia Charitable Trust.

Olympia was one of the first UK venues to join the Net Zero for Carbon Events initiative. Post-event sustainability reports are also provided to event organisers. It also has a Green Tourism Gold Award for sustainable practices.

One Hundred Shoreditch is impact-certified with Future Plus ESG Management platform and participates in Lore Group's programme with the Made Blue foundation, ensuring 100 litres of water are donated for every sold room night.

The hotel is fully fitted with energy-saving technology, in-room eco solutions, water and waste initiatives.

One Hundred Shoreditch also invests in social responsibility initiatives, including partnering with EARNT to support local east London organisations including the Samuda Estate Club 55 and More Life Home.

Nestled within the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Old Royal Naval College has received the prestigious Planet Mark Business Certification. This accomplishment reinforces its commitment to reducing carbon emissions and making a positive impact on the planet. 

The Greenwich Foundation was established in 1997 to preserve the iconic buildings and stunning riverside areas of the Old Royal Naval College. Through a variety of educational programmes, volunteer opportunities and numerous events, this charity plays a crucial role in the venue's sustainability.

In addition, the College has assessed its carbon footprint and is exploring green energy solutions that utilise low-carbon and renewable technologies.

Pan Pacific London has a Platinum ECOsmart award and is on its way to achieving the EarthCheck accreditation, one of the most elite awards for sustainability. Initiatives include 95% of all ingredients across its restaurants and bars being locally sourced, as well as special Asian spices procured from Norfolk.

The guest rooms include eco-friendly amenities such as bamboo toothbrushes and toilet paper plus recyclable containers for body wash and hair products. Partially used toiletries are repurposed and redistributed to others in need via CleanConscience.

The hotel also has a heat recovery system allowing speed and temperature to be regulated according to occupancy levels, and the event spaces are equipped with Samsung digital flipcharts. 

All Park Plaza Hotels in London have Green Tourism silver or gold awards.

Park Plaza has a zero waste to landfill strategy, where waste is sent to energy recovery plants to generate electricity, while the Just a Drop water charity initiative brings water, sanitation and hygiene products to developing countries. 

The hotels also work with local foodbanks and homeless shelters and donate furniture to local charities. 

Pullman St Pancras, part of ALL Accor, has implemented various initiatives to support the environment and promote healthy and sustainable food practices. As part of its commitment, it participates in the "Plant-for-the-Planet" programme, which involves planting trees to help offset carbon emissions. The hotel also focuses on providing guests with healthy and sustainable food options, sourcing ingredients from local suppliers and promoting responsible dining practices, as well as reducing energy consumption, managing waste responsibly and supporting local communities.

The QEII Centre in Westminster has received a Gold ECOsmart Greengage award, on top of its silver Green Tourism accreditation.

The Centre proactively evaluates and adapts its environmental policies and practices, with catering, waste and energy as the main pillars. Its seasonal, locally sourced menus have been measured for carbon impact, with the majority of dishes having a low impact.

The QEII has also partnered with not-for-profit organisation BeesMax to install a hive of 10,000 bees on the fourth-floor garden to help increase the UK's bee population. A new colony of approximately 10,000 bees was created from the original colony and has been rewilded to Buckland Lakes.

Raffles London at The OWO, located in the Whitehall London area, practices the sustainable approach led by the wider Raffles Hotels group. Its objective is to create a luxurious experience that also considers sustainability, and they invite guests to join this journey to make a positive difference.

The initiatives by the hotel's Green Champions include reducing water consumption and waste, eliminating 100% of single-use plastics, researching sustainable options for coffee, recycling bins and maintaining a high level of plant-based items on the menus.
